Condolences: Erin Voss

35Today we learned the heartbreaking news that Erin Voss, a long-time volunteer, fundraiser and brain tumour community supporter has passed away.

Erin made a major impact on everyone she met – and we here at Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada are so grateful to have known Erin and to call her a friend. Her huge smile and energy were infectious, and she brightened up every room she was in. For those who may not have known Erin personally, you might be familiar with her story as she’s openly shared her brain tumour journey in hopes that others facing a diagnosis won’t feel alone. We’ve proudly featured Erin on the cover of annual reports and brochures – the hope and joy you could feel just by looking at a photo of Erin was profound.

LondonSpringSprint_18Our hearts go out to Erin’s family and friends, and all who had the great fortune to meet and connect with her.

To quote Erin, whose passion for helping others and love of life was unmistakeable, we leave you with her wise words: “Slow down and enjoy the little things in life. You can lose focus and this has grounded me to get my life together and live it to the fullest. Enjoy what you do and the people that you are with.”

  1. I had the pleasure of working with Erin on several Spring Sprints and she always had a great big smile for everybody and was willing to do any task that needed to be done. She was there in the cold, the rain, the snow and the searing sun to cheer on others and bring her ray of sunshine to the day. The world is a slightly darker place without her in it. My deepest condolences to her family.

  2. RIP Erin.
I did not know her, but I resonate with the fact she was a BT Survivor and long time volunteer. I too am a survivor and understand the ongoing the difficult health journey. I commend people like Erin who help make the world a better place. When life gives you Lemons….
    Thank you Erin.
Condolences to her family and friends.
